The Benefit of Using a Life Care Plan Report in Estate Planning/Litigations and Financial Planning

Covering health care expenses for the elderly and individuals with a disability, is a growing concern in Canada. This is especially relevant at present, given the increased desire of Canadians to age at home following the Covid-19 pandemic. When it comes to home care, Canadians must figure out what level of care they require, the overall cost, and what role the family might play in providing these services. Home care encompasses a wide range of services delivered to individuals of all ages in their home. Home care services should be considered and included in estate planning and insurance coverage. This presentation will discuss what is a Life Care Plan, elements of Life Care Plan and important case laws. Participants will learn the importance of this tool in calculating expected future life expenses, due to aging and disability, as it relates to estate planning or estate litigations.

Ms. Galit Liffshiz is an occupational Therapist, Designated Capacity Assessor and a Certified Life Care Planner. She is the owner and president of GLA Rehab and Galit Liffshiz & Associates (GLA).

GLA Rehab provides assessment and treatment to clients with complex injuries by multi disciplinary professional team. GLA Rehab is currently providing elder care in the community for people with Dementia and age related chronic illness.

GLA provides CAT application assessment, Future Care Cost/Life Care Planning, FCE, Cognitive-FCE, Vocational Assessment and Capacity Assessments.

Galit is giving webinar and education sessions on issues related to CAT assessment, FCC and report writing in Canada and internationally.
