Course Description

Mark will explain how he creates “Accidental Philanthropists™, when people are given the opportunity to make generous charitable donations using money that would otherwise go to the tax department.

He will share several innovative tax-advantaged strategies and explain how taxpayers can leave a greater legacy using current savings in a Retirement Savings Plan (RRSP) or Retirement Income Fund (RIF), Life Insurance, Canada Pension Plan benefits, gifting private company shares, in-kind donations, flow-through shares, and setting up a foundation or donor-advised fund.

Mark is a faculty member and contributed curriculum content for the groundbreaking Master Financial Advisor-Philanthropy (MFA-P) designation. He is building a national community of 100 financial professionals and charities with the goal of creating $1 Billion of philanthropy annually.
