Scott is a Director of Client Service at Northwood Family Office, Canada’s leading multifamily office. In this role, he works with Northwood’s client families in the areas of financial planning, investment management, philanthropy, and family dynamics.

Prior to joining Northwood, Scott worked at RBC Capital Markets in Equity Research and Fixed Income Sales and Trading. Scott also worked in the past as a commodities trader with a focus on the international trade of physical commodities.

Scott is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is registered as a Portfolio Manager (Advising Representative) with the Ontario and British Columbia Securities Commissions. Scott holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.

Aneil Gokhale is a passionate, dynamic, and goal-oriented professional with over 15 years of successful experience. He is currently Director, Philanthropy at Toronto Foundation where he is responsible for the development and management of the new business portfolio. His role is focused on helping individuals, families, professional advisors, companies and other organizations engage in strategic philanthropy. In 2018, Aneil spearheaded the successful creation and launch of Vision 2020, a new program developed to attract and inspire the next generation of philanthropists. The program successfully engaged 115 millennials and gen-xers in a “Philanthropic MBA cohort” that provided a learning journey and enabled them all to create permanent endowments to support city building philanthropy. Building on the success of the Vision 2020 program, Vision Next launched in January 2020 introducing 100 new visionaries to the next generation of philanthropy.

Aneil has been with Toronto Foundation for 7 years and before that, he worked at United Way Toronto for 5 years and in the private sector, with GE Healthcare in Medical Sales for 4 years.

Aneil is the Toronto City Ambassador for NEXUS, a global community founded to bridge communities of wealth and social entrepreneurship. He is also the Co-Chair of the Membership and Professional Advisors committee with the local Canadian Association of Gift Planners (CAGP) GTA Roundtable and has also been a mentor with CAGP, Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Inclusive Giving and Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC). In his personal life, Aneil is a husband and father of two young children who loves spending quality family time exploring every corner of Toronto and cheering on his beloved Raptors and Blue Jays.

Heather practices primarily in the area of non-profit and charity law. She provides corporate and commercial services to her clients, and acts as general corporate counsel to charities and not-for-profits operating in Canada and internationally. Heather works pragmatically with her clients through various stages of their corporate lifecycle, and she regularly advises on questions of governance, by-laws, charitable registration and regulatory compliance, and real estate matters. Heather also maintains a general business practice, advising small and medium-sized businesses on both corporate and commercial matters, including corporate restructuring, contracts, transactional work, and commercial leasing. Heather has been volunteering for more than 15 years within the charitable and not-for-profit community in Canada, and currently sits on several volunteer boards.
