Course description
We will provide insight into what data is included within a set of court format accounts. We will explore the processes involved in the preparation and analysis of these types of accounts for the end users, including the beneficiaries and the Court.
Probate Planning & ApplicationsWe will discuss the significant changes in probate planning that have occurred on account of evolution of law, bank policy, and filing requirements. We will also discuss probate applications, Estate Information Returns, and the intersection between the accountant and the lawyer’s work with the Executor.

Genevieve Giroday Warren

Genevieve’s practice focuses on assisting clients with wills, trusts, estates and incapacity matters. She works with clients to plan for different asset and family situations. This ranges from clients who wish to make a first will, to complex planning that takes into account complicated asset and family situations. She also assists executors, trustees, beneficiaries and attorneys to resolve the matters they are managing. Her passion for the work comes from observing the relief her clients’ experience when they resolve issues that have been on their minds.
Genevieve’s experience in the area includes practice with Bay Street firms, advising and assisting major banks and trust companies, and working with private clients of all situations and stages of life at Giroday Law. She holds the qualification of Trust and Estate Practitioner as designated by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Geoffrey Warren
CPA, CA, TEP of G Warren CPA Professional Corporation
Geoff’s practice includes personal and corporate income tax. He is a licensed public accountant, providing audit and review engagement services.
Geoff assists Executors and Trustees understand and complete the necessary tax filings. He also helps clients successfully plan for estate and business succession. Geoff holds the qualification of a Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) as designated by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and is a member of the Toronto Estate Planning Council.
