Course Description

The new trust disclosure rules will be in effect for taxation years ending on or after Dec 31, 2021. The rules require a broad disclosure and in particular we discuss the issue related to contingent beneficiaries - it is unclear based on the legislation if a contingent beneficiary will also be required to be disclosed. The talk will also go over the tax consequences of a beneficiary and contingent beneficiary in particular reference to corporate association rule.
