Course Description

AI is evolving rapidly — and for professionals, the challenge isn’t whether to pay attention, but what actually matters and how to use it responsibly.

In this session, AI Strategists Vanessa Rementilla and Saad Nizari of Nucleations will share the latest AI developments that are most relevant to professionals across accounting, finance, tax, and legal services. Drawing on their hands-on work with Canadian small and mid-sized organizations, they’ll focus on practical applications of AI in professional workflows — not tools for experimentation, but capabilities that support efficiency, insight, and better decision-making.

The discussion will cover:

  • What AI can realistically do today and where it is delivering real value in professional services
  • What’s changing quickly — and why staying current matters
  • Key limitations, risks, and guardrails professionals should be aware of
  • Considerations for responsible and defensible AI use in regulated professions
  • An overview of Canadian grants and funding programs that can support AI initiatives

The session will conclude with an open Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to ask practical questions and get grounded guidance on how to approach AI in their own practice.
