Course Description

In this program, we will cover important topics relating to email communication. These topics include tone, formality, email length, response time, subject lines, copying, and using pleasantries, such as, “I hope all is well.”

Upon completion of the program, you will establish a reputation for sending user-friendly emails, which will cause readers to open your messages quickly rather than put them off.

The format of this program will be an interactive webinar. You will be encouraged to ask questions and share your opinions about email communication. In addition to the topics above, participants in the past have asked about matters such as:
  • out-of-office messages;
  • greetings and sign-offs;
  • acronyms and abbreviations;
  • USING ALL CAPS;
  • following up; and
  • sending calendar invitations.

Key Takeaways:

After attending this program, you will be able to:

  • conceptualize how your reader would like your email to appear;
  • develop a writing style that is both professional and courteous;
  • obey the etiquette of email communication; and
  • increase the percentage of your emails that receive a reply.
