The world of tax is changing constantly, The Canada Revenue Agency is updating various new technical bulletins and Parliament is implementing various new program initiatives to help individuals and businesses survive the unprecedented COVID19 challenge.
This presentation will focus on various new interesting tax technical bulletins issued by the CRA in the recent months and how they impact the practitioner furthermore, it will provide an update on various government measures introduced as a result of the COVID19 crisis (75% wage subsidy, 10% wage subsidy, The Canada Emergency Benefit (“CEBA”), The Canada Emergency Business Account (“CEBA”) and the Canada Commercial Rent Assistant (“CECRA”).

Alex has close to 20 years of experience working in the accounting departments of large companies and as a public practitioner. Over the years, Alex helped many private clients with their tax structuring and estate planning needs. Alex also assists in Canadian and US tax compliance and various other tax related matters.
Alex is heavily involved in the tax community and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation (CTF) where he has published articles for the CTF and presented at various events for the CTF.
In addition, Alex has also presented at events for CPA Ontario, accounting groups and other industry specific events. He also facilitates the CPA Canada In-depth tax course.
Boris has vast experience in working with owner managers and their small, medium and large private corporations across industries.
In addition Boris is also involved in the tax community through the facilitation of the In-Depth tax courses, facilitation of tax week under the former School of Accountancy and through presenting on various tax topics at YDCPAA, PD Consortium and AJAG.
