Matthew McCombe

Matthew McCombe, CPA is a Canadian Tax Manager at Moodys Private Client. With almost 10 years of experience, Matthew strives to provide expert tax advice to high net-worth families, private businesses and multi-national enterprises. Graduating from Mount Royal University in 2013, Matthew immediately starting articling for his CPA designation at a local Calgary accounting firm. In January 2017, Matthew received his letters and joined the internal tax group at the same firm where his focus was on complex personal and corporate tax matters, as well as trust and estate planning. In November 2020, Matthew completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program. In September 2021, Matthew joined Moodys Private Client where he continues to grow his tax knowledge base.

Evan Crocker

Evan is a Canadian Senior Tax Associate at Moodys Private Client Law. Evan has focused on tax since the beginning of his accounting career, where he started out providing compliance services for owner-managed businesses and the related personal and trust compliance. He now provides tax strategies in an M&A context, corporate reorganization, succession and estate planning, and income tax planning services. He works with every client to ensure their goals are met and the implementation is seamlessly completed. In February 2016, Evan received CPA designation and in August 2019 completed CPA Canada’s In-Depth Tax Program, which he now facilitates to assist the education of future tax practitioners.

Christopher Ellett

LLB, JD, LLM (TAX)

Christopher provides income tax advice to owner-managed businesses and high-net-worth families, with particular emphasis on business reorganizations, business sales, and intergenerational business succession in both domestic and cross-border environments. He also regularly advises clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, financings, and other business transactions.

Christopher is a frequent speaker and writer on legal and tax issues. He has completed the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada In-depth Tax Course and is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation and the Tax and Wills & Trusts subsections of the Canadian Bar Association. Christopher received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of London and his Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of British Columbia. With the ability to see the big picture while also providing meticulous attention to detail, Christopher attempts to create a measurable impact for each one of his clients.
